Los Cabos' Pueblo Bonito Resorts has banned the use of plastic straws at its five resort hotels, effective last month. The "Save the Seas -- Skip the Straw" campaign is focused on curbing the destruction of marine life caused by plastics.
It's the latest ecofriendly effort by Pueblo Bonito. As part of the company's recycling efforts, bottles are cleaned, crushed and melted in special ovens and taken to the San Miguel Blown Glass Factory for use in crafts.
