Punta Mita, the residential and resort community in Riviera Nayarit, has recently launched relief efforts for neighboring communities of Punta de Mita, providing food for locals who have lost jobs and resources due to the pandemic.
In order to bring support to the community, Peace Punta de Mita and Punta Mita Resort, a Dine property, have teamed up to address the crisis. The immediate response plan is to bring weekly grocery bags to families and elderly people in Punta de Mita who are at risk of not having access to daily food. The plan will prioritize the unemployed families with a possible expansion to all 1,100 families, based on donations and duration of the pandemic.
