Mexico's 2021 Tianguis Turistico has modified its dates in order to allow for antigen testing, vaccinations and sanitization measures.

The 45th edition of the tourism event, originally scheduled for September, will now be held Nov. 16 to 19 in Merida, Yucatan.

The move will ensure that the destination and the locations that will host events are following the latest sanitization measures set by health officials and will allow for more participants to be vaccinated prior to the event. All attendees will be required to take an antigen test, which, if negative, will allow access to the event.

Updated: This report was updated on June 3 to include new dates for Tianguis, which had been scheduled for later in the month.
