Culinary tour company Access Trips has created a tour of South Africa where travelers will sample the diverse cuisine and cook alongside the country's top chefs while also visiting modern cities; tribal villages and townships; and lush farms and vineyards.

The tour explores Johannesburg, Durban and Cape Town. Highlights of the trip include dining and cooking with locals in Soweto, a township near Johannesburg; wildlife and game drives; and a culinary tour of Cape Town with a visit to a micro-artisan coffee roaster and a stop at the winelands.

In a Zulu village in the Drakensburg region, travelers will connect with locals through a meeting with spiritual Sangoma healers.

The nine-day trip will be offered in March, May and August 2018 and starts at $4,890 per person, based on double occupancy. For more information or reservations, visit www.accesstrips.com or call (800) 567-9400.
