Ethiopian Airlines will add a fourth weekly flight from Addis Ababa to Newark on Aug. 5.

Group CEO Ethiopian Airlines, Tewolde GebreMariam, said, "We are very pleased to augment a fourth flight frequency to New York-Newark in a short span of time since we launched the route.  In a continuous effort to offer our customers the best connectivity options, currently we fly to 93 international destinations in five continents; connecting Africa to the world's most economically powerful cities like New York. Surely, availability of frequent scheduled services will play a pivotal role in the expansion of trade, tourism and investment ties between the fast-growing continent of Africa and the United States."

Newark is one of four Ethiopian gateways in North America; the airline also operates daily nonstop flights between Washington and Addis Ababa, three weekly nonstop flights between Toronto and Addis Ababa and three weekly flights between Los Angeles and Addis Ababa via Dublin.
