Hyatt will introduce its Hyatt Regency brand to Zambia in 2026 with the reopening of the Pamodzi Hotel in Lusaka. The existing hotel will undergo extensive renovations.
When it reopens as the Hyatt Regency Lusaka The Pamodzi, the hotel will offer 170 rooms and suites, all redesigned with contemporary decor. Travelers can expect upgraded in-room amenities and improved service standards aligned with Hyatt's international five-star offering.
Facilities at the property will include flexible meetings and event spaces suitable for conferences and corporate gatherings, targeting the meetings, incentives, conferences and exhibitions market. The hotel's central location places guests close to Lusaka's business district and key attractions such as the Lusaka National Museum. Wildlife experiences, including Lusaka National Park and the Elephant Orphanage Project, are a short drive away.
For loyalty members, the launch will add Zambia to the World of Hyatt program, enabling guests to earn and redeem points during their stay.
The renovation is part of a partnership between Hyatt, ASB Hotel Properties, Albwardy Investments and Pamodzi Hotels PLC. The aim is to modernize the property and meet the expectations of both business and leisure travellers in a growing market.
