Geckos Adventures, an adventure travel company for millennials (18-to-29-year-olds), has started offering safaris for under $1,000 in an attempt to make guided adventures to Africa affordable for younger travelers.

"The demand for wildlife tours appears stronger than ever," said James Thornton, managing director for the Intrepid Group. "When developing these new safaris, we wanted to ensure we were offering trips that were not only fun and affordable but that had a positive impact on the communities we visited and on animal welfare."

Vic Falls & Safari is an eight-night trip starting at $915. This tour combines southern Africa's most exciting places, like Hwange, the Kruger National Parks and Victoria Falls.

Journey Through Botswana is an eight-night trip starting at $1,050. Travelers get up close with rhinos at the Khama Rhino Sanctuary before camping in the Okavango wilderness and spotting hippos in the Okavango Delta. It also features a visit to Chobe National Park, which is home to world's highest concentration of African elephants, and off safari, travelers can marvel at the size and scale of Victoria Falls and jet around in a mokoro, Africa's canoe equivalent.
