Namibian hospitality company O&L Leisure recently opened Chobe Water Villas, a luxurious riverside retreat in the Caprivi Strip on Namibia's northern border.
Accessible only by boat, the lodge's 16 thatched water villas offer uninterrupted 180-degree river views. Thanks to the elevated position of the rooms, exceptional wildlife viewing can be enjoyed from the comfort of the villas.
Chobe Water Villas is situated on the northern bank of the mighty Chobe River, which forms the border between Namibia and the Chobe National Park in Botswana, an area with one of the highest concentrations of game in Africa.
Facilities at the main lodge include an elegant restaurant and bar and a library lounge, which lead out onto a centered garden area with a luxurious infinity pool and magnificent views of the Chobe River.
Daily safari activities include morning game drives in the Chobe National Park, cruises on the Chobe River along the banks of the National Park and cultural and sunset cruises on both the Chobe and Zambezi Rivers.
