After rebuilding Ruckomechi Camp in Zimbabwe's Mana Pools National Park in March this year, Wilderness Safaris has now created another small, intimate camp in the same concession. The Little Ruckomechi Camp opened its doors in the beginning of July and offers an intimate and authentic safari experience ideal for sole-use bookings, family groups or small parties traveling with a private guide.
The camp features three elegant and airy tented suites built on wooden decks. The living spaces include a dining and lounge area as well as a plunge pool, all overlooking the majestic Zambezi River.
All activities at Little Ruckomechi Camp are led by a private guide to ensure guests are at freedom to choose the tempo of their day. Activities include day and night game drives, bird-watching, nature walks and a variety of water-based adventures, including canoeing, river cruises or catch-and-release fishing. The wildlife-rich area is home to a large number of elephants, buffalos, hippos and elands. Predators such as lions, leopards and wild dogs are also found in the area as is an abundant amount of birdlife.
