Social media has transformed travel professional Margie Jordan’s business, and she’ll explain how at Travel Weekly's Virtual Leisure Summit, Nov. 16 and 17.
The theme of the virtual conference is "How to...," and Jordan, owner and CEO of ASAP Travel in Jacksonville, Fla., will host "How to Create and Execute a Social Media Business Plan" on Nov. 16 at 1 p.m. Eastern time.
"In the past, our marketing efforts were a one-way communication," Jordan said. "We told a story. Social media has changed all of that. The conversation is now two-way.
"In the past, marketing campaigns were developed months in advance," she continued. "With social media, we can implement a marketing campaign in a matter of minutes. It represents an amazing opportunity for travel agents to engage their clients."
