Weissmann Reports, STAR Service name leadership panel

SECAUCUS, N.J. – Weissmann Reports and STAR Service Online have selected a group of top travel agents to form its inaugural Leaders in Travel Excellence program.

The panel will serve as an advisory board to STAR and Weissmann Reports, providing feedback and tips to help improve and enhance the online products. As expert users of the products, they also will host webinars to teach other agents about using the services, and they will demonstrate new and useful features.

The following agents have committed to serve two years on the panel:

• Cookie Carney, Travel-Experts, Charlotte, N.C.

• Colleen Gaier, Excellence in Travel, Fairborn, Ohio

• Carl Henderson, TPI, Mississauga, Ontario

• Marion McDonald, Brownell Travel, Memphis

• Elaine Nolan, CruiseOne, Camden, Del.

• Linda Rawlings, Travel Advocate, Denver

• Kate Rosevear, CWT Suncoast Travel, Plymouth, Mich.

"Our Leaders in Travel Excellence members represent the best of the best," said Ned Tobey, director of sales and marketing for electronic products at Northstar Travel Media, parent of Weissmann Reports and STAR Service Online.

"They were selected based on their high professional standards, commitment to excellence, respect of their peers and great interpersonal skills."

Founded in 1960, STAR offers an online database of nearly 10,000 hotel reviews written by professional hotel reviewers. STAR’s correspondents visit each property before writing the review.

In addition, STAR recently added user-generated hotel and cruise ship reviews written by travel agents.
