Earlier this year, Park MGM made its official debut on the Strip, emerging from the top-to-bottom makeover that transformed it from the Monte Carlo.
Rather than reveal its new venues and events in one flashy splash, parent company MGM Resorts has elected to unveil its elements slowly: first a theater, then a restaurant or two, then a pool and now a party.
Or rather two parties, kicking off this summer under the Strip's newest brand. First up is Sunset Sessions, which arrives poolside on Saturdays with DJ Zen Freeman spinning laid back tunes as an antidote to the bass thumping day clubs up and down the Strip. Here the vibe is mellow, the music is chill, and no one will try to give you a Champagne shower let alone a cake to the face. The party is free for hotel guests, and visitors not staying at Park MGM can reserve complimentary entry by RSVPing to the hotel concierge at 702-730-7010 or [email protected].
The second event serves to kick off the weekend at Primrose restaurant inside Park MGM. Every other Thursday from 6-8 p.m., guests are invited to Vinyl Thursdays, where they can curate the soundtrack by bringing in a few favorite records and sharing a track or two. While the crowd sips cocktails or giggles over board games, you can help shape the atmosphere inside the stylish eatery and play DJ on the Strip if only for a few minutes.
Admission is complimentary, with Vinyl Thursday arriving at Primrose every other week from July 12.
