American Express has opened a speakeasy-inspired lounge at Harry Reid Airport in Las Vegas.
Sidecar by the Centurion Lounge is the 32nd Centurion Lounge in the Amex network but the first in a smaller format. The space is designed primarily for premium travelers traveling solo or as pairs visiting within 90 minutes of departure.
Sidecar features a desert-influenced decor of stone, brass and greenery. In addition to craft cocktails and wine, the menu has small plates. Guests order via QR code, and food and drinks are delivered to their seat.
Where to find it
Sidecar by the Centurion Lounge, open from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m., is near Gate D1 in Concourse D, near the primary Centurion Lounge.
"Since opening the first Centurion Lounge in Las Vegas in 2013, we have gained invaluable insights around how card members use our lounge spaces, which has informed how we innovate," said Audrey Hendley, president of American Express Travel.
"Sidecar by the Centurion Lounge was born out of the fact that a significant portion of Centurion Lounge visitors stay for an hour or less," she said. "This is not only an exciting return to LAS, but a new approach we created for those travelers looking for an upscale and efficient respite — even when they have a short window before boarding their flight."
Sidecar by the Centurion Lounge makes American Express the only credit card issuer with two lounges at Reid. Access to Sidecar is complimentary for card members who have access to the Centurion Lounge Network.
