Bourbon Parade, a bar celebrating the history, culture, music and spirit of New Orleans, opened last month at the Grand Bazaar Shops in front of the Horseshoe Las Vegas.
The space boasts custom-designed, handmade tap handles, hand-painted signs and vintage posters, art and photography. It features free, live New Orleans music and a NOLA-inspired cocktails.
Second line parades, reminiscent of the Crescent City, are scheduled every 90 minutes. A grand marshal leads a marching brass band to inspire guests to dance, wave handkerchiefs and twirl parasols.
Visitors can reserve their own parade to celebrate weddings; bachelor and bachelorette parties; divorces; anniversaries; and birthdays.
"Bourbon Parade not only brings the best of New Orleans culture to Las Vegas but also creates the ultimate fun-loving experience, where guests won't be able to resist joining in the energetic parades, singing, dancing and partying," said Jason Boso, Bourbon Parade's founder.
Musicians from New Orleans were invited to host auditions and conduct intensive training in jazz and swing styles. The venue's house players include drummers, trombonists, tuba players, saxophonists and trumpeters. Special guest musicians will be featured regularly.
Among Bourbon Parade's signature cocktails: Mardi Gras Punch, Hurricane, Louisiana Margarita, New Orleans Frozen Irish Coffee and Purple Drank.
Hours are from 10 a.m. to 2 a.m. Sundays through Thursdays and from 10 a.m. to 3 a.m. on Fridays and Saturdays. Admission to Bourbon Parade is complimentary. Guests must be 21 years old and older to enter.
