Named after the founder of Miami, Julia Tuttle, the new 29-room Julia Hotel opened this month in the up-and-coming South of Fifth (SoFi) district in Miami Beach. The 1930s building has been restored to its art deco architecture with a new outdoor patio.

The adults-only, boutique property is located on Collins Avenue between 3rd and 4th Streets, just a block from the beach. Owned by SMS Lodging, which operates hotels in Miami Beach and Key West, the Julia features original artwork by local and international artists and mismatched decor by designer Stephen Busto.

Guests are treated to complimentary French breakfast each morning, including fresh croissants, brioche and pain au chocolat. At the beach, chairs are available for guests of the Julia, beach totes are available for use, and the hotel hosts a daily wine and cheese happy hour.

Bookings made by Aug. 31 for travel by Dec. 15 will receive a 15% discount. Visit https://thejuliahotel.com/.
