Disney World parks to reopen this afternoon as Nicole passes

The Walt Disney World Resort in Orlando was planning a delayed opening Thursday following Tropical Storm Nicole's impact in the Central Florida region.

In an update Thursday morning, Disney said it planned to open the Magic Kingdom Park at noon. It will remain open until 6 p.m. Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party, a separately ticketed event at the Magic Kingdom, will take place from 7 p.m. until midnight.

Epcot's hours Thursday are 1 p.m. to 9 p.m.; Disney's Animal Kingdom, 1 p.m. to 7 p.m.; and Disney's Hollywood Studios, 2 p.m. to 10 p.m.

Experiences in the parks will be bookable at the time that the parks reopen.

Disney's Typhoon Lagoon waterpark and its miniature golf locations will remain closed Thursday.

Universal Orlando Resort anticipated a delayed reopening Thursday.

SeaWorld Orlando remains closed Thursday but planned a Friday reopening.
