Universal Orlando announced the first details of its newest attraction, Fast & Furious — Supercharged, which is scheduled to debut at Universal Studios in the spring.
The attraction brings the top-grossing "Fast & the Furious" film franchise to life with a slate of characters from the films as well as two new characters exclusive to Universal Orlando. Guests can check out 15 Fast & Furious cars and take photos with them, including 12 directly from the film. All of the vehicles have been created by Dennis McCarthy, the man behind all of the cars in the film.
Fast & Furious — Supercharged will be the next Universal attraction to use the park's virtual line system. Guests select the time they want to ride via the Official Universal Orlando Resort Mobile app or at a kiosk at the ride entrance and show up at the appointed time to begin their experience. Dom's Dodge Charger will be parked out front, clearly identifying this as the underground headquarters of the Fast family.
Inside, songs from the films' soundtracks fill the rooms as memorable scenes from the series play around participants who make their way through familiar places inspired by the films, such as the Family Room, complete with photos of the Fast family and Tej's high-tech War Room. The experience culminates with a high-speed chase.
