GlowFest, a massive walk-through winter-light experience, is coming to Las Vegas for the first time.
The 200,000-square-foot attraction, described by organizers as a reimagining of the traditional Chinese lantern festival, blends art, culture, story-telling and food. It will run from Dec. 20 to Feb. 22 and be located just east of the Strip on Paradise Road near the Sahara Las Vegas Monorail Station.
"GlowFest is about engaging your senses and imagination, creating your own story within the art around you," said David Valenzuela, GlowFest's program director. "It's a celebration of community, creativity and wonder."
Guests follow the journey of a baby dragon discovering Earth, moving
through five realms: reality, nature, ocean, celestial and exotic lands.
Two radiant white elephants are the guides. Installations include the
Tree of Life and the Lotus Garden, intended to spark guests' imagination and
encourage further exploration. Chef pop-ups and food trucks will be available. Holiday programming is also planned in late December, including visits with Santa, carolers and New Year's cosplay performances.
A day pass (starting at $35, plus tax and fees) grants one-time admission for a designated date and time. For days and hours of operation, visit the GlowFest website.
