Hotel group plans three more Miami properties by 2020

The development and ownership group Urbanica the Hotels, the outfit behind the restored 1930s art deco Meridian Hotel (from $100 per night) in Miami Beach, said it plans to open three properties in Miami by the end of 2020.

The Euclid Hotel, located at 426 Euclid Ave., is currently under construction. Expected to open this summer, it will feature 30 guestrooms and Argentine restaurant, Orilla.

Opening in 2020 will be the Fifth, at 803 Fifth St., will open with 50 guestrooms, on-site parking and a signature restaurant. The Biscayne, located in Edgewater at 3200 Biscayne Blvd., and also slated to open in 2020, is signficantly larger, with 210 guestrooms, 5,000 square feet of shipping, and a 7,000-square-foot rooftop pool, bar and entertainment space.

Urbanica also opened the Kascades Hotel at 300 17th St. in April with prices from $179 per night.
