LAS VEGAS -- The
party scene on the Strip has gotten more diverse since the launch
of Krave by nightclub impresario Sia Amiri.
Billed as the
first alternative- lifestyle nightclub on the Strip and the largest
omnisexual club in Las Vegas, Krave opened last month at the corner
of Las Vegas Boulevard and Harmon Avenue, adjacent to the
Aladdin.
Amiri, who has
been responsible for some of Los Angeles and Las Vegas hottest
nightclubs and restaurants, is joined at Krave by events producer
Jeffrey Sanker, who will promote the 450-seat venue to the gay and
lesbian market.
The club, whose
cover charge is $10 for local residents and $20 for nonresidents,
features music from well-known DJs. There is general seating plus
VIP seating overlooking the dance floor.
In addition,
patrons can enjoy American cuisine breakfast and dinner options at
E.A.T. (Enjoy Appetizing Tastes), which is open from 6 p.m. to 8
a.m. General and reserved seating is
available. For reserved seating, guests should call in
advance.
The club scene at
Krave begins at 10 p.m. following The Fashionistas, a 90-minute
adult dance review performed at 8 p.m. Mondays through
Saturdays.
The show, an
exotic story about the fashion world gone out of control, is based
on John Staglianos adult film of the same name and features the
music of Lords of Acid, Tool and the Crystal Method.
To buy tickets,
which cost $49.95 for general admission and $59.95 for VIP seating,
call (702) 836-0833, visit www.fashionistastheshow.com or stop by the box office
at the Harmon Avenue entrance.
Every Friday at
Krave is a costume party (costume dress optional). The more
outrageous the costume, the better chance the wearer has of winning
prizes such as complimentary cover charge and drinks.
Also every
Saturday night, the club features its first series of events,
called Everything You Desire, which includes celebrity guests, DJs
and vignette performances from The Fashionistas. On Sundays, the
club hosts the Classic T-Dance, beginning at 6 p.m.
Valet parking for
Krave is available on Harmon Avenue, just off the Strip; free
parking is available in the Aladdin parking garage. For more
information, phone (702) 836-0830 or visit www.kravelasvegas.com.
