Leonardo da Vinci is the subject of the first installation at Perception Las Vegas, the first permanent digital art museum on the Strip.

"Leonardo: The Universal Man" is an hourlong, three-gallery journey that explores the Renaissance-era architect, engineer, alchemist, artist, philosopher and sculptor.

"Perception is a 360-degree, fully immersive, multisensory museum that will continually introduce fresh content celebrating the world's greatest artists," said Robert Frey, CEO of Perception.

In "Grand Salon: Chapters of the Genius' Life," guests enter a 28-foot-tall, four-wall theater for a 35-minute film. Advanced laser projection and audio re-create da Vinci's engineering and architectural feats.

Another gallery, "Painting With Light: The Last Supper," has floor-to-ceiling, surround-sound LED walls, where one of the world's most famous works of art seems to come to life through light, color, shape and sound.

Finally, "The Gallery: Mona Lisa's Perception" includes an original musical score to enhance six versions of da Vinci's painting.

Nightlife pioneer Frey and entrepreneur Ned Collett created Perception and worked with Dutch multidisciplinary creative agency, Twofiftyk, on bringing "Leonardo: The Universal Man" to life. No end date for the exhibition has been announced.

Perception, at 2780 Las Vegas Blvd. S., just north of Circus Circus, is open from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. daily. Tickets start at $34.50 ($18.50 for children ages 5 to 12).
