Abs, pecs and biceps, oh my! If the silver screen version of Channing Tatum's semi-autobiographical stripper tale "Magic Mike" did not get you close enough to the statuesque male dancers, you will want to plan a Vegas visit next year.
Tatum is launching a live version of "Magic Mike," his hit 2012 film, that is slated to open at Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in March 2017.
The show, conceived and directed by Tatum, will create a real-life version of Club Domina, the strip club in "Magic Mike XXL" (the 2015 movie sequel), including a 360-degree stage and performances featuring acrobatics as well as dancing. The venue includes three bars and seating for 450 guests.
"Magic Mike has been a special and very personal project for me, and this show is a natural extension of that," Tatum said in a release announcing the show. "So while I won't be on stage as Mike, Magic Mike Live Las Vegas is my vision and I'm looking forward to spending a lot of time in Las Vegas creating something that will give women what they really want."
A dozen dancers and acrobats bring the stripping team from the films to life with sexy and daring routines, each punctuated by a one-of-a-kind act. In addition to Tatum, the films' choreographer, Alison Faulk, will also work on the live revue.
The show will be for guests age 18 and older. For more information click here.
