"Titanic: The Artifact Exhibition" at the Luxor Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas will introduce 108 artifacts in January.

The new artifacts include 20 never-before-seen items as well as items that have never been on display in the Las Vegas exhibition. They will include: a chef's hat; a first class smoking room chandelier; the sole of a golf shoe; a bain-marie cooking pot; an alligator-skin wallet; and the calling card of a passenger named Madame Zephey.

"Titanic: The Artifact Exhibition" will be closed Jan. 6 to 9 for the installation. New technologies and a photo station where visitors will be able to pose with prop lifejackets from the Oscar-winning 1997 movie will also be added. More enhancements will be made throughout the spring, and the venue will soon be able to host private events and receptions.

"These priceless artifacts, which have been painstakingly recovered and preserved, belonged to real people aboard the RMS Titanic," said Alex Klingelhofer, executive director of collections for Experiential Media Group. "It's important that we're able to continue their legacies and share their stories through the display of their personal belongings and materials from aboard the ship."

The exhibit tells the Titanic's tragic story through more than 400 artifacts. Upon entering the exhibit, guests are matched with passengers to learn what life was like aboard the famous luxury liner in April 1912 and in the end learn of their passenger's fate. The exhibition includes re-creations of first- and third-class cabins, a replica of the Grand Staircase and a 15-ton section of the Titanic's starboard hull.

With the exception of those installation dates in early January, "Titanic: The Artifact Exhibition" is open daily from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. with the last admission at 9 p.m. For tickets and more information, visit Luxor.com/entertainment.
