Private, self-guided, virtually assisted culinary experiences in Las Vegas are available through Finger Licking Foodie Tours.

The new company, an offshoot of Lip Smacking Foodie Tours, was created five years ago by hospitality-industry veteran Donald Contursi. The 2.5-hour tours are available in the downtown/Fremont East district as well as the city's Arts District.

The 2.5-hour tours feature immediate VIP seating at a selection of restaurants and a chance to taste their signature dishes. Guests receive an online map and a link to a virtual tour guide who provides commentary for each stop.

Restaurants on the downtown/Fremont East walking tour include Carson Kitchen, Therapy and 7th & Carson. Each is within a five-minute walk. Guests will also have the opportunity to stop along the way at the Downtown Container Park, were there are shops, restaurants (though none are on the tour itself) and art displays.

The Arts District tour includes Esther's Kitchen, Jammyland and the Cornish Pasty Co. Time can also be made to explore the Recycled Propaganda art gallery along the way.

Tours are also in the works for the Las Vegas Strip and downtown Summerlin.

With restaurant capacities limited because of continuing public health restrictions and reservations sometimes challenging, these tours leave the planning to the experts, according to Contursi. They are ideal for date night, birthday or anniversary celebrations, he said.

"This tour provides an intimate and personalized foodie experience," Contursi said.

Finger Licking Foodie Tours start at $79 per person and includes three restaurants and three dishes at every stop. Gratuity is included for each restaurant. Guests receive a 15% discount on beverages and additional menu items. Guests can book the tour for any time between 11:30 a.m. and 6 p.m. daily. Go to to make a reservation.

This report has been updated to include the plans to create a downtown Summerlin tour. It also corrects the earlier version that said the Las Vegas Strip tour is now available.
