Interstellar Arc,  a virtual ship created by Felix & Paul Studios that combines cinematic storytelling and technology to create the immersive experience, is scheduled to debut at Area15 in Las Vegas next month.

According to the creators, the ship transports visitors to the 27th century from a spaceport set in the 25th century. After boarding in the spaceport in 2406, voyagers enter cryogenic sleep and wake up 262 years later as they approach their destination.

"Interstellar Arc is the next evolution of entertainment," said Felix Lajeunesse, co-founder and chief creative officer at Felix & Paul Studios. "You're not passively watching the story of space travel, you're actively experiencing it with all of your senses."

Voyagers rebuild their memory, discover why they chose to become interstellar travelers and learn about a new world as they experience the 20,000-square-foot attraction.

"Some of our early participants have described the experience as 'visually beautiful and surreal.' One even described the moment of waking from cryosleep as 'a shockingly real and immersive experience,' which is exactly the kind of emotional realism we set out to achieve," Lajeunesse said.

Felix & Paul Studios' work includes collaborations with Cirque du Soleil and Jurassic World. It produced "Space Explorers: The ISS Experience," a four-part virtual-reality series that was the winner of an Emmy Award for Outstanding Interactive Series in 2021.

Interstellar Arc is part of Area15's expansion, which includes Universal Horror Unleashed and other attractions to open soon.

Tickets to Interstellar Arc start at $54 (plus tax and fees) for adults and $39 for children ages 8 to 12. Guests should allow at least an hour for the experience.
