Guests of Universal Orlando Resort will soon be able to cap off their day at Universal Studios Florida this summer with a new nighttime lagoon show featuring some of Universal's most iconic stars.
The show, called "Universal Orlando's Cinematic Celebration," will combine fountain-based media and special effects in a new storyline with full panoramic water screens, pyrotechnics and more than 120 dancing fountains and projection mapping similar to what is used in the current "Nighttime Lights at Hogwarts Castle" show at the park.
The show intends to showcase epic movie moments and beloved characters from Universal films. Guests can enjoy the show from a dedicated viewing area designed for the show.
Universal has announced that characters from the Harry Potter, Jurassic World, Despicable Me and Fast & the Furious franchises will all be a part of the show.
Depending on the popularity of the show, "Cinematic Celebration" could be extended beyond the summer, officials said.
"Nighttime Lights at Hogwarts Castle" debuted in the winter of 2017, and its success has led to a longer run of the show at Universal's Islands of Adventure theme park.
