Douglass McLatchie is the new director of sales for Alaskan Dream Cruises. He began the role in May.
McLatchie will manage the company's sales and reservations team, while developing strategic plans to drive and maximize business sales. He comes to Alaskan Dream Cruises after more than 15 years in sales with Carnival Cruise Lines.
McLatchie will be based in Sitka.
"Doug brings a great depth of sales experience with him and an inherent knowledge of the cruise business," said Alaskan Dream cruises senior vice president Jamey Cagle. "We're excited to welcome him to the team."
Alaskan Dream Cruises was launched in 2011 by the Allen family, members of the Alaska Native Tlingit clan. The family also founded the boat building company Allen Marine and Allen Marine Tours, which offers day cruise tours to travelers in Alaska's Inside Passage.
