The Opal Sands resort on Florida’s
Clearwater Beach opened Feb. 22.
Rates for the 230 rooms and
suites in the 15-story hotel, which bends in a semicircle along the Gulf of
Mexico coastline, start at $254 and go up to more than $1,300.
Every unit offers a private
balcony with a view of the Gulf, according to resort literature. Amenities
include a zero-entry outdoor pool, a sun deck, a spa and fitness center, a
beach bar and indoor and outdoor event space. Sea-guini, the hotel's primary
restaurant, serves Italian seafood with a tropical flair.
