The Orlando Eye, a 400-foot-tall Ferris wheel that will anchor the new I-Drive 360 entertainment complex, will have its grand opening on May 4, operator Merlin Entertainments announced.

Featuring enclosed, air-conditioned capsules, the giant observation wheel will provide expansive views of Orlando's theme parks and downtown. On clear days, the view will stretch all the way to Cape Canaveral on the Atlantic coast, according to Merlin.

Opening alongside the Ferris wheel on May 4 will be a Madame Tussauds wax museum and the Sea Life Aquarium. Combined tickets for the three attractions start at $35 online; individual tickets to the Orlando Eye start at $18. Go to www.officialorlandoeye.com/tickets-prices/individual-tickets/ to book. Merlin is offering limited access to the attractions from May 1 to 3 for those who sign up online for the I-Drive 360 newsletter.
