Park MGM, the reincarnation of the former Monte Carlo as a more whimsical, romantic casino resort, unveiled its new spa and salon last week.
Designed with the same sage tones and warm metals that infuse the rest of the property, the spa is designed to be approachable for treatment rookies but with enough bells and whistles to intrigue relaxation regulars. The menu includes staples like hot-stone massages and deep-tissue treatment as well as facials that employ "plant cell" technology and seaweed exfoliants.
Therapists can perform many treatments poolside or in guestrooms by request.
"We've developed a new spa and salon experience at Park MGM that encourages guests to disconnect from the outside world in order to enhance the feeling of experiencing pure bliss," said Laura Wood, director of the Park MGM Spa & Salon.
If the spa is meant to soothe, the salon is intended to stimulate. A triangular room creates conversational buzz, and guests are greeted upon entry with a glass of bubbly or rose. By the time you leave, lightly sauced and with a new 'do or manicure, you'll feel on top of the world, or at least Las Vegas.
The spa and salon are open daily from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. For more information, visit ParkMGM.com.
