LaPlaya Beach & Golf Resort, a Noble House Resort in Naples, Fla., is undergoing an $8 million renovation that it plans to unveil in the fall. The refit will include new guestrooms in the Gulf Tower and a refreshed lobby. The resort's signature restaurant, Baleen, will also get a new look.
The resort has partnered with design firm Waldrop+Nichols, which is known for a modern, elegant luxury aesthetic. Managing director Marco Perry said the renovation will enhance the resort's "relaxed luxury and sophisticated simplicity."
Guests will see the fruits of the renovation as soon as they walk through the doors, with terrazzo floors and hibiscus-themed art planned for the lobby. The lobby will also feature custom chandeliers and dramatic wicker lounge seating. Gulf Tower guests will enjoy four-poster beds and backlit vanity mirrors.
LaPlaya Beach & Golf Resort was a 2016 Reader's Choice pick in Conde Nast Traveler, and Baleen has been named one of the top 100 Best Outdoor Dining Venues in the U.S. by OpenTable.com.
