Marriott International announced the opening of its new 89-room boutique hotel, the Sarasota Modern -- A Tribute Portfolio Hotel, in late 2018. The hotel is located in the "Rosemary District" of downtown Sarasota. An exact opening date will be announced in the coming weeks.
The hotel's design was inspired by 1940s South Florida modernism, blending indoor and outdoor living. The interiors feature natural wood detailing, floor-to-ceiling windows and private outdoor clawfoot tubs.
The pool deck includes two pools, a hot tub and white cabanas, which are available by reservation. More than 10,000 square feet of meeting space, a full-service spa, and signature restaurant, Rudolph's, round out the hotel offerings. The hotel will also be pet-friendly.
