The return of "Hamilton" as well as "Hadestown, "Mean Girls" and "Tina -- The Tina Turner Musical" highlight the Smith Center's 2022-2023 Broadway Las Vegas Series.
The downtown Las Vegas performing arts center is marking its 10th anniversary this month. The season features the touring companies of 11 Broadway shows that have a won a total of 40 Tony Awards, including three for Best Musical.
After the current Broadway season ends with "Tootsie" May 24 to 29, the new season will begin in August with musical comedy "The Prom" and continue with the Best Musical winner "Hadestown." "Hamilton" will have a three-week run in the fall, and the new year will feature Aaron Sorkin's stage adaptation of Harper Lee's "To Kill A Mockingbird." "Moulin Rouge! The Musical," winner of 10 Tony Awards, including Best Musical, will follow.
