The Rebellion needs you! Well, you and three of your friends disguised as stormtroopers, who must infiltrate an Imperial base to uncover intelligence crucial to the Rebellion's survival.
That's the premise of "Star Wars: Secrets of the Empire," a new interactive, virtual reality gaming experience presented by the Void and ILMxLAB at the Grand Canal Shoppes at the Venetian and the Palazzo Las Vegas.
With the Void, participants wearing headsets enter an immersive environment where they're whisked away to the world of Jedis and porgs (the puffin-like critters from "Episode VIII"). Gamers can move freely, touching and interacting with their surroundings, feeling the turbulence of space flight and sensing the smell of smoke as they tackle an important mission. Along the way, they'll bump into some of Star Wars' most beloved characters while they work to stop the Empire and preserve the Rebellion.
Your reward for saving the good guys? Stepping out of the Void and back into Las Vegas.
"Star Wars: Secrets of the Empire" is open seven days a week, and tickets are $29.95. For more information, visit thevoid.com/locations/lasvegas.
