Once the domain of rainforest canopies in Costa Rica and adventure parks in Puerto Rico, ziplines have arrived in Las Vegas in recent years, offering an adrenaline rush not tied to a turn of the cards or a spinning slot. In 2018, the Las Vegas Strip will see its first zipline debut at Caesars Entertainment's Linq Promenade.

The $20 million Fly Linq zipline will feature 10 parallel lines that leave from a 122-foot tower at the Linq Hotel & Casino. Riders will soar seated or prone above the promenade's shops and restaurants before landing at the base of the High Roller observation wheel 1,080 feet away, where they can purchase photos of their heart-racing experience.

The Strip's first zipline will run the length of the Linq promenade when it debuts in late 2018.

Developed with Xventure LV, Fly Linq is expected to launch in late 2018.

Fly Linq won't be the city's first high-flying attraction. Fremont Street's towering SlotZilla zipline, designed to look like a gigantic slot machine, shoots riders over the pedestrian thoroughfare from 77 feet in the air, giving them a pigeon's-eye view of the buskers, bars and glass-toting tourists below. Those looking for an extra thrill can ride SlotZilla's Zoomline, which starts 114 feet above the sidewalk and sends flyers Superman-style to the Golden Gate Casino, 1,750 feet away.

Just outside the casino corridor, the Rio's Voodoo Zipline seats brave souls two at a time in a sort of flying chair, then shoots them toward the resort's other hotel tower, before slowly reeling them back in.
