Tropicana's 'Xtreme Magic' adds holiday songs to December performances

A holiday version of "Xtreme Magic Starring Dirk Arthur" at the Tropicana adds traditional holiday merriment, classic yuletide songs like "Rockin' Around the Christmas Tree" and "Sleigh Bells Ring" and a visit from Santa Claus to the show's illusions and magic.

Arthur's interactive show features live dancers, gift exchanges, audience participation and exotic animals, including a new addition, a six-month old liger (a cross between a tiger and a lion) named Tilly.

The Tropicana said that "Xtreme Magic" is currently the only show on the Strip with exotic cats; the show includes white-striped tigers, black African leopards and a white snow tiger.

Xtreme Magic holiday performances will take place at 2 p.m. and 4 p.m. through Dec. 31, with additional shows at 7 p.m. from Dec. 12 through 25. Tickets start at $20. Dinner and show packages are also available for $25.

Show tickets and convenience packages can be purchased at the Tropicana box office or by calling (702) 739-2411.
