UnCruise Adventures will offer 142 Alaska departures in 2019, including 11 new itineraries and the earliest spring sailing tours in the company's history.
UnCruise opens its 2019 Alaska season on April 6 and will continue sailing into September, with boutique yachts and expedition ships setting out from Seattle, Ketchikan, Juneau, Petersburg and Sitka. The company's seven ships carry between 22 and 90 guests each.
During April and May 2019, 24 Alaska Awakening departures will explore Southeast Alaska.
"Our success with Alaska Awakening departures allows us to start our season earlier than ever before and show off more of Southeast Alaska in the springtime," said UnCruise Adventures CEO Dan Blanchard. "April is the new May, and May is the new June."
The company will also introduce the Alaska's Glacier Country itinerary, an outing that starts and ends in Juneau and includes a day in Glacier Bay National Park. Guests will watch for humpback whales in Chatham Strait and Frederick Sound, and the trip also explores Icy Strait, Endicott Arm and Dawes Glacier, and the Fords Terror Wilderness Area.
All UnCruise Adventures excursions offer remote adventure activities ranging from hiking and bushwhacking to kayaking, paddle boarding, skiff excursions and whale watching. Expedition guides lead tours and discuss the region's environment and history along the way.
Rates for weeklong Alaska cruises start at $2,995 per person (double occupancy) and include food and beverages, adventure activities and cruise-day transfers. Optional land packages are also available.
