The Vegas Golden Knights working with a puck on ice is nothing new; but working with world-renowned chef Wolfgang Puck on a restaurant certainly is.
Several players from Las Vegas' NHL team have joined with Puck to create a sports restaurant, Wolfgang Puck Players Locker, in downtown Summerlin, across the street from where the team practices.
Golden Knights Alex Tuch, William Karlsson, Deryk Engelland, Shea Theodore and Reilly Smith lent their name to dishes. Tuch's Reuben Sandwich is pastrami smothered in sauerkraut and swiss cheese on marbled rye. Karlsson's Vegan Burger features a Beyond Meat patty and vegan cheese. Reilly's Cheese Curds, Deryk's Fish & Chips and Shea's Gooey Deluxe (salted caramel chocolate chip cookie with vanilla ice cream) are also on the menu.
Players Locker boasts a floor-to-ceiling display of more than 100 custom glass lockers with high-end spirits, some handpicked by Puck, the five players and other sports stars. The restaurant includes televisions, a large bar and two outdoor patios.
The Players Lounge, a private dining room, is where the Golden Knights will dine when they are in the restaurant but is available for special event bookings.
Hours are 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Sundays to Thursdays and from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays.
