Sea turtle nesting season begins in March and ends in mid-October, and to honor their flippered friends and increase awareness of the hotel's location as a prime turtle-nesting beach, the 343-room Wyndham Grand Clearwater Beach has unveiled three guestrooms with themed sea turtle decor, in partnership with the Clearwater Marine Aquarium.
The rooms feature sea turtle artwork and decor as well as a full wall mural of a swimming turtle. The rooms also include a queen bed as well as set of twin bunk beds with pillows that feature images of sea turtles. Room rates start at $341 per night.
These three rooms join the hotel's nine popular Winter the Dolphin-themed rooms featuring Mavis, the dolphin character from the film "Dolphin Tale 2." When booking these rooms, a portion of the proceeds will be donated to the Clearwater Marine Aquarium to assist in caring for rescued marine life.
