Earlier this month, Avalon Waterways christened its newest Suite Ship class of vessel in Middelburg, the Netherlands.

The 128-passenger Avalon Artistry II was christened by Marilen Sandejas-Yaptangco, a travel industry professional from the Philippines.

The Avalon Artistry II is one of two Suite Ships being christened in Europe this spring.

On May 6, "1,000 Places to See Before You Die" author Patricia Schultz will christen Avalon Waterways’ new 166-passenger Avalon Expression in Cochem, Germany.

The two upper-deck staterooms on the Avalon Artistry II and Avalon Expression feature a seating area adjacent to a wall-to-wall panoramic window that when opened transforms the cabin into an open-air balcony.

The Suite Ships also feature a main lounge and dining room, hair salon, sky deck whirlpool, an open-air bistro and fitness rooms.
