Avalon Waterways is adding an itinerary to its popular, celebrity-hosted Storyteller Series next year.
Author Christopher Moore will host Waltz Along the Danube: A Storyteller Cruise with Christopher Moore on the 10-day "Illuminations on the Danube" itinerary in October 2025 from Vilshofen, Germany, to Budapest.
Moore will discuss his latest book, "Anima Rising," which is set in Vienna and debuts in 2025.
"I first visited Vienna on an Avalon Waterways cruise a few years ago, and I was so taken with the city, I knew I wanted to set a book there," Moore said, adding that he's looking forward to returning and visiting smaller towns along the Danube.
Guests on this cruise can expect to spend time with Moore through special gatherings on and off the ship and partake in special themed events.
This is Moore's third Avalon cruise and his second time hosting a Storyteller Series itinerary. He was part of the line's inaugural group of celebrity hosts, primarily made up of authors, when the series launched in 2022.
Other hosts of the Storyteller Series cruises include Diana Gabaldon, Cheryl Strayed, Gillian Flynn and Candace Bushnell.
