Alaska Airlines during the next few months will add two new routes from Southern California, the carrier announced.

Daily nonstop service between Los Angeles and Austin will begin on March 18, and Alaska will increase that to three times daily on May 20. Alaska has been building service out of Los Angeles over the past year, with 12 new routes from Los Angeles added last year, and the Austin route will mark its 40th destination from the city.

Additionally, nonstop daily service between San Diego and New York's John F. Kennedy International Airport will begin April 4.
