BermudAir has begun operations for its AnguillAir brand, which made its first flight on Dec. 17, flying to Anguilla from Boston.
Newark-Anguilla service launched Dec. 18 and Baltimore-Anguilla begins Dec. 19.
All three Anguilla routes will operate twice weekly into April. They are the only nonstop flights from the U.S. Northeast to the Eastern Caribbean island.
"This is much more than a new route -- it's a reflection of what BermudAir was built to do: deliver extraordinary service while broadening our destination offerings," BermudAir founder Adam Scott said.
BermudaAir launched in late 2023 and operates a fleet of four Embraer regional aircraft. The airline serves eight U.S. and three Canadian destinations from Bermuda.
In operating AnguillAir, BermudaAir is deploying excess capacity to a warm-weather destination during Bermuda's low-demand period, Scott said in an October interview. He also said the airline eventually intends to extend Anguilla flying beyond the winter season and to launch service to other Caribbean destinations.
