Frontier Airlines has added six more route launches for this spring from Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport.
The flights will serve Fort Lauderdale; Boston; Houston Bush; Charlotte; Portland, Maine; and Pensacola, Fla.
Frontier had previously announced New York LaGuardia and Minneapolis-St. Paul service from Cincinnati. Those flights will begin in April and May.
The discount carrier's eight cumulative new routes from Cincinnati are to coincide with its opening of a Cincinnati crew base in May. Most of the routes are also part of Frontier's ongoing rebalancing of its network to add more business routes and more routes for the family-and-friends market, while pulling back from traditional vacation routes.
Frontier's four-times-weekly flights from Cincinnati to Charlotte and Fort Lauderdale will begin May 16. Four-times-weekly flights to Houston will launch May 17.
Thrice-weekly Portland and Pensacola flights will commence May 21. And thrice-weekly Cincinnati-Boston service will start May 22.
Frontier will fly to a total of 20 destinations from Cincinnati this summer, with a 57% increase in daily departures.
