Riyadh Air has taken delivery of its first two Boeing 787 Dreamliners ahead of starting full-service flying on July 1.
Riyadh has 39 Dreamliners on order and options for 33 more. The planes have business, premium economy and economy cabins.
The airline also has 25 Airbus A350-1000 widebodies on firm order (with options for 25 more) and 60 Airbus A321neo narrowbodies. Riyadh aspires to serve 100 destinations by 2030.
Riyadh Air began flying last October with service between Riyadh and London, with ticket sales limited to employees and selected groups. Since then, the airline has been flying with a leased Dreamliner aircraft that does not have the same cabin interior design and seats as its own planes.
The newly delivered aircraft will fly the Riyadh-London route, with the transition taking place on July 1.
