Royal Air Maroc landed its inaugural flight to Miami on Wednesday night.

The route, from Casablanca to Miami, is the first African service to Miami since 2000. It's also the lone nonstop service between Africa and Florida.

Royal Air Maroc, which in 2020 will become Africa's first member of the Oneworld alliance, is flying a Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner on the route. The aircraft is configured with 18 business class and 255 economy seats.

Royal Air Maroc is flying the route three times per week.
