Sabre says a system outage that impacted operations Tuesday
for its U.S. airline customers has been resolved.
"Earlier today, Sabre experienced a system issue that impacted
some customers," Sabre stated on Twitter. "Technical teams were
immediately engaged. Systems have recovered and customers are reporting normal
operations. We apologize for the inconvenience to those affected."
The failure involved Sabre Airline Solutions, which provides
ticketing and reservation services to airlines, including American and JetBlue.
Tweets indicate that Alaska was also among the carriers affected by the
technical problem.
Complaints filtered in to airlines via Twitter in the late
morning Eastern time.
American Airlines said the issue lasted for 30 minutes and
caused scattered delays, but no cancellations.
