Doreen Burse
Burse, who most recently was vice president of Marriott’s global sales for the U.S. and Canada, will assume her post at United on March 1. She will be responsible for developing and leading United’s global sales strategy.
“In 2021, our sales organization will be one of the most pivotal contributors to United's recovery as we lay the groundwork for the company’s future success,” United chief commercial officer Andrew Nocella said in a statement on Tuesday. “Considering the significance of this team in setting the direction and tone for our entire organization, I am excited to announce Doreen Burse as our senior vice president of worldwide sales.”
Burse worked at Marriott for more than 30 years. In her most recent capacity overseeing sales in the U.S. and Canada, she led a global account team that represented $16 billion in annual spending.
The United announcement made no reference to Cefolia. The
then-49-year-old executive was last seen Aug. 6 in the Chicago suburb of
Elmhurst. His vehicle was found in the parking area of the 2,500-acre
Waterfall Glen Forest Preserve in DuPage County, west of Chicago, two
days later.
Elmhurst police chief Michael Ruth did not immediately respond to a phone inquiry Tuesday about the status of the Cefolia case.
