DOUGLASSVILLE, Pa. -- William Klein, 69, founder of Klein Bus Service (doing business as Klein Transportation), died recently of cancer.

The firm was founded in 1956 as a school bus operation. In the 1970s, it branched out into U.S. motorcoach tours and charters. In recent years, a retail department opened that offered air tours and cruises.

Survivors include his wife, Mary; his son, Wayne, president of Klein; another son, David, and a sister, Maryln.
