The U.S. Transportation Security Administration has extended the mask mandate for public transportation and transportation hubs for one month, through April 18, the agency announced Thursday.

The extension was based on a recommendation from the CDC.

The requirement is for individuals across all transportation networks throughout the United States, including at airports, onboard commercial aircraft, on over-the-road buses and on commuter bus and rail systems.
